He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Mitchell and Amy Mitchell (Nelson); his son Richard; his sisters, Lavon Lakey (Norman), Laverne Halstead (Bob) and Peggy Armstrong (Jack); and his brother-in-law Tom Bingaman.
He is survived by: his wife Lue; his daughter-in-law Lisa Mitchell; his daughters, Cheryl (Pete Beason) and Cynthia (David Davis); and his sister Polly Bingaman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one-on-the way; two great great grandchildren.
