He was predeceased by: his wife Helen; his son Roy Tate; and his brother George Tate. He is survived by: his children, Lloyd Junior Tate of Ava, Leon Tate and Janice Croney; his significant other Dorma Lee Stephens; and his stepchildren, Lonnie, Deborah, Carolyn and Bill. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, one sister, Loeta of West Plains, other relatives and many friends.
