He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tate and Norma Tate (Wymer); his former wife Susie; and his sister Fran Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Jessica Tate, John C. Tate, Katrina Hebb, Ben and Annette Nelson; his grandchildren, Lexi Hebb, Henry Hebb, Shayna Tate, Lizzie Nelson, Curtis Nelson and Matthew Nelson; and his siblings, Marty McWhorter, Naomi Boseau and Jane Burton. He is also survived by extended family, his church family and many friends.
