With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irish O. Downey of Ava, Missouri, born in Compton, California, who passed away on January 9, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, La Vina R. Downey and Wiley; his wife Billie Hill (Smith); and his brother Jack J. Downey of California. He is survived by: his children, Tara Renee Phinney of Arizona and Shane Michael Downey of Nevada; his stepson David Glenn Phinney of Alabama; his sister Helen L. Downey of Arizona; and his former wife Lillian M. Dolen (Crystel) of Nevada. He is also survived by two nieces and three nephews; step children; several step grand and step great grandchildren and friends.
