He was predeceased by: his mother Virdie Friend; his former wife Kathryn; his wife Alma Lee; his siblings, Ronnie, James Trent and Ethel Mae Johnson; and his stepson Steve Potter.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Bills, Sandy Perryman and Steve Friend; his stepdaughters, Kim Jackson, Teresa Remington and Ginger Neely; his sisters, Wanda Lilly and Jurldean Strong; and his pet Jake. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, other relatives, friends and his best friend.
