It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Ruth Shumate of Ava, Missouri, who passed away on July 28, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin and Ethel Denney (Cox); her husband Lloyd Junior; her siblings, Lonnie, Ben, Sherman Denney, Anna Lee Cornelison and Ruby Graham; her grandchildren, Mark Anthony Shumate and Angela Michelle Evans; and her son-in-law Lou Dering.
She is survived by: her children, Larry (Martha Shumate), Gary (Vicki Shumate), Dennis (Sandy Shumate), Theresa (Wiley Belt) and Mary Dering; and her sister Loetta Kelly. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.
Family requests memorials to be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery or Gideon's.
