He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Frank and Orpha Frye (Reser); his wife Wilma; and his siblings, Lena Sears, Hester Reineck, Maxine Levan, Troy Frye, Fonzo Frye, Randy Frye, Essie, Dessie Frye, Dewey "Dude" Frye, Burl Frye, Fern Frye and Everett Frye.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney (Patricia Frye), Nancy (Jimmy Hooten) and Christine King; and his close friend Ellen Lakey. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
