She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelton Borcherding and Pearl Borcherding (Trost); her brother Raymond Borcherding; and her grandson Zachary. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Freels; her children, Duane Freels (Alysia) of Auxvasse and Chrystal Freels (Danny Cuno) of Mexico; her grandchildren, Brandon, Meagan, Tyler, Gage and Audrey; her great grandchild Harper; her siblings, Ronnie Borcherding (Barb) of Martinsburg, Robert Borcherding of Columbia, Betty Parrott of Mexico, Doris Campbell (Carl) of Thompson and Luella Thompson of Clarence; her sister-in-law Ann Borcherding; her goddaughter Missy Piontek (Borcherding); and her pet Lucy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made the Super Sam Foundation.
