He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carlos Gilman and Lela Biggs (Love); his wife Ruth Lucille Gilman (Marquette); his sons, James Richard Gilman and Randall Dean Gilman; his siblings, Ralph Anderson and Carol Jane Marshall; and his granddaughter Angela Plybon.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Lee "Joe" Gilman (Janice) of Auxvasse, Kathy Gilman of Dixon, Sandy Gilman of Jefferson City, Cindy Hudson (Frankie) of Auxvasse and Jennifer Garrett (Creag) of Fulton; and his brother Robert Dean Gilman (Maxine) of Fulton.
