It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy M. Lear of Auxvasse, Missouri, born in Mexico, Missouri, who passed away on August 20, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Smith and Helen Smith (Sullivan); her sister Sadie Smith; her half-brothers, Robert Sullivan, Gene Smith and Bill Smith; and her niece Tabatha Poindexter Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Roscoe W. Lear; her children, George Lear (Barbara) of Shiloh, Illinois and Evelyn Lear of Mexico; her grandchildren, River, Reeve, Raeleigh and Rydan Lear; and her siblings, Sylvester R. Smith, Jr. of Mexico, Helen Golden of Mexico, Becky Poindexter of Mexico, Nancy Anthony of Mexico and Mary Simmerman of Mexico. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
