He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter, Sr. Pettit and Vena Belle Pettit. He is survived by: his children, Shelley Hume (Jeff Van Haveren) of Nixa and Walter S. Pettit, III; his grandchildren, JP Stockton, Jack Hume, Sean Hume, Lauren Tarbutton, Sam Pettit, Ben Pettit, James Pettit and Allison Patton; his great grandchildren, Kylie, Liam, Samara, Mattea, Anna, Luca, Aiden, Lexi, Brooks, August, Isla, Everly and Miles; his stepson David White of Republic; and his father-in-law Earl Roberts.
