With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roland Edward Swearingen (Aurora, Missouri), born in Purdy, Missouri, who passed away on September 16, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Ward Swearingen and Opal Swearingen (Wilson); his spouse Wilma "Buck" Mitchell; his daughter Janice Everett (David) of Aurora; his grandchildren, Shane Everett of Springfield and Kayla Everett of El Dorado; his siblings, Barbara Spilman of Mt, Marilyn Baugh of Mt, Evelyn Colley of Mt, Kay Scott (Dale) of Mt, Jack Swearingen (Dolores) of Crane, Jean Gambrell (Bill), Alvin Swearingen (Arlene) and Jerald Swearingen (Yvonne); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Spilman, Harold Baugh, Bryon Colley and Nancy Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the Mt. Vernon Men's Senior Golf League, in care of the funeral home.
