He is survived by: his son Kenny Waltrip of Aurora, Missouri; his wife Peggy Stone of Aurora, Missouri; and his siblings, Bill, Wayne Waltrip, Liz Tuell and Katherine Stark. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
