He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Coker (Taylor) and Liss Coker; his sister Janey Donaldson; and his daughters, Jennifer Coker and Denise Van Orden.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Coker; his siblings, Lonnie Coker, Norma Wilson, Linda Long and Becky Atkinson; his children, Bill Coker, Jeff Coker, Mike Coker and Cathy Hall; his grandchildren, John Coker, Joseph Coker, Matt Coker, Marshall Davidson, Mindy Coker and Amber Sparks; and his great grandchild Leon James Elzey.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peterson Funeral Chapel (229 W Church St, Aurora, MO 65605). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers the family would ask that donations be given to Hazel to go towards adjusting to living without James.
