He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy King and Jennie Lake King (Hailey); his wife Bebe King; his daughter Lynda Carrol Johnson (King); his grandson James Gregory Johnson; and his siblings, Denzelle Carlock, Eldon, Carlos and Kenneth King.
He is survived by: his children, Max (Josey King), Luanne King of Aurora, David (Eve King) and Ellery of Woburn; his grandchildren, Sam, Stella of Spring Hill, Stephen, Angela Johnson of Ponca City, Daniel and Lori Doyle; his great grandchild Zac of Austin; his grandchildren, Amy and Brett Holzle; his great grandchildren, Zoey, Evie of Plano, Micah King of Austin, Rebekah, Ryan Odle, John and Kim Asbury; his great great grandchild KJ (Hailey King) of Glendale; and also, Wilder, Leeland of Bastrop, Alexandra Asbury, Mason Asbury, Morganne and Hunter Barnes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made payable to the Wounded Warriors Project in care of the funeral home.
