He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Julie Ann Simmons (Jenkins); his former wife Diane Ruth Williams; his children, Angela, Julie Simmons and Bobby Simmons; and his siblings, Bobby, Ted, Benny Simmons, Sheila Hammond and Martha Rich.
He is survived by: his fiancée Sherry Toric of Aurora, Missouri; his sons, Pat Simmons (Clarissa Ballot), Derick Simmons of Forrest City and Chris Simmons (Holly) of Missouri; and his siblings, Ruth Griffin of Marked Tree, Lois Burns of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Sonny Simmons of Marked Tree, Arkansas. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
