He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; and his parents, Oscar Knoernschild and Anna Barbara Knoernschild. He is survived by: his children, Timothy (Carolyn Knoernschild), Paul (Markeeta Knoernschild), Elizabeth Depke, Barbara (Leroy Stahlman) and Bruce (Sandra Knoernschild). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to "Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund" in care of Christ Lutheran Church.
