He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Nelson and Velma Edgar Nelson; and his siblings-in-law, John Robert Loyd and Margaret Newland. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Oleta Nelson; his stepson Dennis Stover; and his siblings-in-law, Pete Loyd, Ronnie Loyd (Becky), Harold Loyd (Linda), Marilyn Craig and Betty Minnie (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
