He was predeceased by: his parents, John Melton and Marilyn Melton; and his sister Vera Viola Simmons. He is survived by: his children, Jay Fields (Tia), Bob Stafford and Stacy Welch of Joplin, MO; and his brothers, James Melton (Vicki) of Lutz, FL, John Melton (Bonnie) and Jason Melton (Any). He is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
