It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Elizabeth (Ballard) Berning of Arnold, Missouri, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Karen Elizabeth leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Karen Elizabeth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray E. Ballard and Mary Elizabeth Ballard; and her grandson Benjamin Berning. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Berning of Arnold, MO; her children, Selena Berning of Luebbering, MO and Adam Berning (Alicia) of Luebbering, MO; her sister Kayla Ballard (Kim McKelvie) of Salem, MO; and her grandchild Xzavier Berger of Luebbering, MO. She is also survived by cousins and many friends.
