He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Stephen Gittemeier and Jackie Peters. He is survived by: his wife Diane L. Sears; his daughter Tammy Sears; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn J. Gittemeier, Judy Kellner (Craig) and Teresa Gittemeier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Immaculate Conception Church or Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
