She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stewart and Bessie Stewart; and her sisters, Sadie Ellis, Marie Fitzgerald, Muriel Stewart, Mae Decker and Virginia Scott.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Burns (Patrick), Donna Patterson (Robert), Connie Hawkins (Terry) and Bessie Wampler (Richard); her grandchildren, Deanna, Debra, Marcia, Joe, Adam and Ashley; and her siblings, James Stewart and Lois Dinkins.
