She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary and Homer Hinkle; her stepfather Don Dove; and her siblings, Jeanette Ellenberg, Ruth Montgomery, Terry Dove, Jack Houston and Mike Hinkle.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas G. Schaefer; her daughter Tracy Ricotta (Al); her stepson Erik Schaefer (Emily); her grandchildren, Melanie Schaefer, Jacob Hacker, Joshua Hacker and Samantha Hacker; her siblings, Kathy Brandt, Donna Dove, Dawn Osteen, Bobbie Jo Randle, Billie Alexander, Edie LeMasters, Ron Hinkle, David Dove, Homer Hinkle and Donnie Hinkle; her stepmother Norma Hinkle; and her siblings-in-law, Walter Schaefer, Mark Schaefer, Tony Schaefer and Angie Smallwood (Chris). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
