He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel E. Hayes and Mary Lois Hayes (Engle); and his brother William Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Theresa "Tess" Stuart; his children, Robyn Wilkinson (John) of Des Moines, IA, Becky Kurtz (Jim) of Armstrong, MO, Tony Hayes (Tammy) of Burlington, IA and Tory Hayes (Brenda) of Tulsa, OK; and his siblings, Alex Hayes (Linda) of Yates, MO, Ronnie Hayes (JoAnn) of Higbee, MO and Kathleen Wilson (Jerry) of Boonville, MO.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
