He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Roughton and Teresa Roughton (Ruhl); his wife Sylvia Roughton (Culton); and his siblings, Hazel and Gordon.

He is survived by: his son Bart Roughton (Cheryl); and his sister Joann. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
