Rosemary (Hook) Pulliam Obituary
Rosemary Hook Pulliam, 88, of Archie, Missouri was born on July 3, 1936, in rural Freeman, Missouri the daughter of Mary (Downs) and Grover Hook. She entered Heaven's Gates on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She left this world from her home at Meadowview Health & Rehab, surrounded by her family and her friends from the memory care unit.
She attended school in Freeman, MO and played basketball and softball.
On September 9, 1952, Rosemary was united in marriage to Guy Pulliam in Bentonville, Arkansas and to this union four children were born. Guy and Rosemary lived in Archie for over fifty years. They loved and were loved by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rosemary worked in retail at Matco and Walmart in Butler. She was named Outstanding Customer Service Associate of the Year for Walmart in 1992. Her hobbies included painting, sewing and creating keepsake porcelain dolls. She enjoyed life, you never saw her without a smile on her face. In her later years she liked going to the Pleasant Hill Opera and playing bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy; her parents, nine brothers; Dean, Cleve, Emmett, Raymond, Floyd, Bill, Clarence, Glen, Junior and four sisters; Carrie, Nellie, Dorthy, Phyllis and one grandson, Chris Shannon. Rosemary is survived by her daughter Angela Arnold and husband, Curtis, of Warsaw; daughter Terri Gilliland and husband, Don, of Archie; son Michael Pulliam of Archie; daughter Dee Kisner and husband, Monty, of Archie; 14 grandchildren; Chawn Arnold, Brandy Nicoletti, Jason Arnold, Theresa Gilliland, Elizebeth Giacone, Billie Gilliland, Lani Vaughn, Bear McCulley, Cathy Hodges, Ashley Ellis, Chuck Bolinger, Shannon Kisner, Ashley Patterson, and Kody Kisner; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister Louis; other relatives and many friends.
Rosemary chose to donate her body to the Kansas University of Medicine followed by Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Everett Community Church, Archie, Missouri. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Everett Community Church, Archie, Missouri.
