She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard O. Penny and Mary Madeliene Penny (Moor); her son Seth Aaron Burton; and her brothers, Howard and Don Penny.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel H. Burton, David V. Helverson, Mary R. Helverson Young, Allen N. Helverson and Lyle D. Burton (Tricia); and her siblings, Ron Penny and Ladene Swatsworth. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Mercy Hospital.
