We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2023, at the age of 91, Betty Jo Vaughn of Archie, Missouri, born in Pleasant Hill, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Omer Humboldt and Ruth Irene Lugenbeel (Lightfoot); her husband James Lee Vaughn Jr.; her sons, William R. Vaughn and Robert Layne Vaughn; her granddaughter Laura Vaughn; and her siblings, Richard, Donald and Mildred Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Homer L. Vaughn of Kansas City, MO, James B. Vaughn of Butler, MO, Joseph A. Vaughn of Archie, MO, Bonnie Majors of Pleasant Hill, MO and Joyce E. Forbus; and her brother James D. Lugenbeel. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.
