It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Wayne Dinkins of Annapolis, Missouri, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ray and Mary Louise Dinkins (Slusher); his daughter Sheryl Arlene Dinkins; and his siblings, Clyde Dinkins (Virginia), Donald Dinkins and Doris Dinkins.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Keagan, Kolton, Kasen, Drenin, Enzley, Drazic, Riley, Delaney, Makenna, Ella and Addison; his stepsons, Richard Henry Place of Wappapello, MO and John Ethan Place of Lake St; his sisters, Uyvonne Huddleston (Tom) of Doe Run, MO and Donna West (Garry) of Fredericktown, MO; and his sister-in-law Diane Dinkins of Ironton, MO. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, family members, past students, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cole Family Funeral Home (210 E Reynolds St, Ironton, MO 63650). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Happy Zion General Baptist Church (209 Allen St, Annapolis, MO 63620).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Happy Zion General Baptist Church Youth Program.
