He was predeceased by: his brothers, John Mills, Tom Mills and Mike Mills; his nephew John "Manny" Mills; and his niece Selena Sutton.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Joe Mills of Annapolis, MO, Nancy Joe Walton (Charles) of Fort Lee, VA and Tommi Joe Batson (Matthew) of Annapolis, MO; his grandchildren, Aurellia "Chyann" Mills-Rhodes, Montana Mills, Sara Walton, Maddisyn Mills, Leeland "Oscar" Batson, Daniel Walton and Zachary Walton; and his sisters, Stella Firebaugh (Robert) of Cherokee Pass, MO and Margie Sherrill of Hogan, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
