He was predeceased by: his father Jessie James; his wife Vera Lee Tanner; and his brother Roy Junior Tanner. He is survived by: his children, Jessie Joe Tanner (Julie Ann) of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Linda Sue Tanner of Bentonville, Arkansas; and his sister Wilma Jean Smith of Carl Junction. He is also survived by two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
