He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Lee and Joann Smith (Carrell); and his daughter Lacey Smith. He is survived by: his wife Shelley Smith; his sons, Nick Smith (Ashley) of Joplin and E. J. Smith of Anderson; his grandchildren, Christian, Skylar, Eli and Owen; and his siblings, Gene Smith (Lori Carrier), Raymond Smith (Jamie) of Shidler, Oklahoma, Donna Parsons (Leslie) of Anderson, Shelia Gideon (Jimmy) of Miami, Debbie Gray of Miami and Margaret Wagner (John) of Goodman.
