She was predeceased by: her parents, Norton Upthagrove and Nina Upthagrove (Lockhart); the father of her children Harold Hall; her son Edward Hall; her children-in-law, Wilma Hall and Jim Searson; and her siblings, Morris Upthagrove, Beth Herdman and Betty Jo Hobbs.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Cowan; and her daughters, Alice McGuire, Eleanor Searson and Bonnie Cole. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
