He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Benjamin and Ethyl Flossie Cooper (Roy); his wife Retha Mae Cooper (Harp); his daughter Ramae Teague (Cooper); his siblings, Geraldine Boothe, Francis Sutton, Paul, Louis, Jack, Bill, David and Kenny Cooper; his stepchildren, Michael Wylie and Sherre Wilson; and his stepgrandsons, Zachary Nageotte and Zachary Wylie.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Amber Russell; his son Jerry Cooper (Lee Ann) of Anderson, Missouri; his stepdaughter Jo Nelle Nageotte (Lonny) of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; and his sisters, Raylene Reece (Donny) and Shirley Chastain. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
