She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Holmes and Elizabeth Holmes; her daughter Ruthene Simpson; and her siblings, Dorothy Hodge and Herman Holmes.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Thompson (Marcia), Deanne Lunyou (Wayne), Dennis Thompson (Susan), Kevin Thompson (Janella) and Kara Painter (Walter); her grandsons, Sean, Jason, Clint, Chad, Clay and Nathaniel Thompson; her sister Edna Faye Pierce (Donald); and her spouse Shorty. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
