He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nix Sr. and Katherine Nix (McKinley); his parents-in-law, Theo and Irene Williams; and his siblings, Charles Mann and Clara Mann.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Williams; his children, Stephanie Kernodle (Bart), Holly Harris and Preston Nix (Mya); and his grandchildren, Haley Kernodle, Colby Kernodle (Kaylee), Maggie Johnson, Seth Hardwick and Destiny Hardwick.
