It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Ann Vetter of Alton, Missouri, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, O. V. Tatum and Augusta Gowin Tatum; and her husband Richard William "Bill" Vetter. She is survived by: her daughter Janine Barton (Jamie); her grandchildren, Tristen Drake (Hope), Blake Barton and Dawson Barton; and her great grandchild Westen. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clary Funeral Home (102 Vine St, Alton, MO 65606). The military honors was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
