He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Hensley and Lois Oliver-Hensley; his wife Betty Owens; his sister Josephine Viola Hensley; his nephew Duane McGary; and his brothers, William Jay Hensley and Jimmy Joe Hensley.

He is survived by: his sister Betty McGary of Birth Tree, MO; his nephews, Mark Hensley of Springfield, MO and Ulen McGary of Blanchard, OK; and his sister-in-law Betty Hensley of Springfield, MO. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
