We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2021, at the age of 68, Shirley J. Asmussen of Alma, Missouri, born in Sweet Springs, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Hemme and Viola Schnakenberg Hemme; and her grandson Trent Asmussen. She is survived by: her husband Larry W. Asmussen; her sons, Jeremy Asmussen (Heather) and Jody Asmussen (Ashley) of Concordia; her stepchildren, Joshua Asmussen (Hanna Long) and Jessica Asmussen of Cedar Rapids, IA; her grandchildren, Chris, Lance, Jesenia Asmussen and Jade Turner; her stepgrandchildren, Jazzalyn and Riley Asmussen; and her brothers, Donnie Hemme and Kenneth Hemme of Concordia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
