He was predeceased by: his father Gary R. Rockelman; his wife Mary Rockelman (Soper); his stepfather Jim Teeters (Mary); his grandson Ross Rockelman; and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Soper, Jerry Soper and Jim Soper.

He is survived by: his mother Donna S. Rockelman (Kamps) of Keokuk; his daughter Courtney Rockelman (Brandon Manton) of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Dawn Rockelman, Rosalee Manton and Bexley Manton; his siblings, Sean Rockelman of Keokuk, Shane Rockelman (Heather McCarron) of Keokuk, Cindy Buntin (Danny) of Wayland and Kirsty Teeters (JoJo) of Alexandria; and his siblings-in-law, Jed Soper (Kim) of Alexandria, John Soper of Alexandria, Evelyn Soper of Kahoka and Carla Soper of Wayland.
