With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia Sue Colwell of Alexandria, Missouri, born in Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on February 7, 2022 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Earl and Olive Genevieve Hoyt (Varner); her husband Jerry Lee Colwell; her stepgranddaughter Meghan Ann Brewer; and her brothers, Vernon Lee Hoyt, Jr., David Hoyt and Bill Hoyt.

She is survived by: her son Clint Hoyt of Keokuk, Iowa; her stepchildren, Tracy Colwell (Ted) of North Carolina, Danita Brewer of Florida and Jeri Baker of Florida; her brother Mark Hoyt of Keokuk; and her stepgrandchildren, Mark Brewer, Dalton Baker, Nathaniel Baker and Caitlin Colwell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
