He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mikes and Mildred Mikes (Walker); and his siblings, Gretta Sprague, Genevieve Searcy, Freda Powell, Richard and Charles Allen Mikes.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Cook; his children, Tod Mikes (April), Ed Mikes (Beth) of Adel, IA and Alicia Barnes (Kenneth); his stepdaughter Robin Bourland; and his brothers, Donald of Pattonsburg and Lonnie Mikes of Pattonsburg. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
