He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Jessie Smith (Robertson); his siblings, Marie Graham, Jean Ziegler and Raymond Smith; and his granddaughter Andrea Rae Messner.
He is survived by: his wife Norene Dye; his children, Rick Smith of Albany, MO, John Smith (Diana) of Albany, MO, Teresa Messner (James) and Rhonda Manion (Fred) of Albany, MO; his grandchildren, Justin Manion (Britton), Myles Manion (Jada), Tyler Messner (Stacy), Jessi Rae Messner, Tyson Smith (Krystin) and Ambrie Hitch (Travis); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Shea, Tyce Smith, Ryder, Brooks, Hayes Hitch, Zennie Manion and Charlotte Messner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (805 US Hwy 136, Albany, MO 64402).
