She was predeceased by: her parents, George N. Hunter and Morna Hunter (Griswald); and her siblings, Mildred Galloway, Adaline Hunter, Sam Hunter, Erma Dean Kimes, Anna Ruth Dishon, Helen Carpenter and Walter Hunter.
She is survived by: her spouse James Turpen; her daughter Judy Nelson (Gary) of Webb City; and her grandsons, Roger Nelson (Lisa Housh Nelson) of Webb City and Michael Nelson (Tonya Blankenship) of Carthage.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Purcell Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory.
