He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry McMurphy, Sr. and Anna Louise McMurphy (Daughtery). He is survived by: his wife Rebekah Michelle McMurphy (Thompson); his parents-in-law, Pamela Renea (Dillon) and Michael Lee Thompson of Urich, MO.; and his siblings-in-law, James Michael Thompson, Bryan Jordan Thompson and Candace Lee Thompson (James). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and other family and many friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Vansant-Mills Chapel (314 W Jefferson St, Clinton, MO 64735).

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bikers Against Child Abuse (Osage Valley Chapter) and may be left in care of the funeral home.
