He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Atkinson and Mavis Atkinson (Stafford); his brother Donald Atkinson; his son Brett Hamblin; and his nephew Ben Zeman.
He is survived by: his wife Joann; his siblings, Daryl Atkinson (Bonnie) and Judy Zeman (Wilfred); his children, Robert Atkinson, Rita Rozea (Al), Michael, Laurie and Nathan Hamblin; his daughter-in-law Corrie Hamblin; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Elizabeth Hall, Alex Hamblin (Ayshlan), Hollie Wood (Brady), Ethan Hamblin, Gretchen Purvis (Garrett), Brian, Calley and Chloe Atkinson; his great grandchildren, Alexis Garrison, Jasper and Milo; and his nieces and nephews, Pamela Olson, Amada Guthman, Douglas (Susan), Dan, Donald Jr. Atkinson, Kenneth, Jeffrey and Kevin Zeman.
