We are sad to announce that on August 13, 2020, at the age of 90, Joseph Haupert Sr. of Zimmerman, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence M. Haupert and Hedwig Haupert; his former wife MaryAnn DeVriend; and his sister Rita Mae Dickey. He is survived by: his children, David of Andover, Joseph Jr. (Deanna) of North Branch, Timothy (Jolie) of Solon, OH., Catherine Kleinheksel (Gary) of Zimmerman and Karen Geist (Tom) of Knoxville, TN.; and his siblings, Frank (Marilyn) of Big Lake, Jim (Karen) of Starbuck, Ron (Jan) of Bayfield, WI., Geraldine Voss (Daryl) of Slayton, Pat Schneller of Alexandria and Shirley Barthel (Jerry) of St. Michael. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

“Dear Joe's loved ones: We would like to express our deepest sympathy to Joe's immediate family. Joe was 14 years older then me so I didn't get much time to spend with him before he joined the Air Force when he was 17 yrs old. He told many stories about close encounters in WW II. We had many good fishing trips together to Lake of The Woods to catch walleyes. Joe loved to fly so we went via plane and enjoyed every trip. We will miss you, Brother. Jim/Karen Haupert”
