He is survived by: his children, Reed Simonton (Melissa), Tracie Simonton, Cassandra Giaffino (Michael) and Karissa Simonton; his grandchildren, Liv and Forrest Simonton; and his sisters, Cathy Carlson (Ron), Donna Spielmann (Joe) and Elise Hyjek (John).
