He is survived by: his sister Viola Ruehl (Bryan Severson); his children, Craig Peterson (Joan) and Karla Krey (Mike); his stepson Mike Rangitsch (Terry); and his grandchildren, Miranda (Jack), Larry (Amy), Stephanie (Shawn) and Paul. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; nieces, other extended family members and friends.
