He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Schmidt and Iona Schmidt (Affeldt); and his brother Loren. He is survived by: his children, Sheri, Jodi, Doug and Jennifer; his stepchildren, Jim and Jackie; his siblings, Allen (Betty), Harlan (Dee) and Marion; and his sister-in-law Sharon. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund or the Wykoff Historical Society.
